Release Time: 2022.03.15     Clicks: 1599

Silk-screen and heat-transfer are two different techniques. However, the result is the same, the content of the desired pattern is glued to the product. Silk-screen is to use the screen plate to print the content using the extrusion of the ink adhered to the product, heat-transfer is a special lamination after heating the content of the lamination adhered to the product on a process. So, how can we choose the technology of the dice?

If your dice graph is not complicated and your budget is low, you can choose the silk-screen. So standard dice you can choose silk-screen technology. Standard dice with silk-screened designs on each side do not need to be molded. Silk-screen is the use of a screen as a plate base, and through the photographic plate making method, a screen printing plate with graphics is made. The screen printing plate can be printed using the basic principle that the graphic part of the screen is permeable to ink and the non-graphic part of the screen is not permeable to ink. Pour the ink at one end of the screen printing plate, apply a certain pressure to the ink part of the screen printing plate with a scraper, and at the same time move to the other end of the screen printing plate at a constant speed, so that the ink is squeezed from the mesh to the movement of the graphic part of the dice.

Heat-transfer can be transferred more complex patterns, the cost is relatively silked screen printing higher, for the pattern color is diverse dice will use heat transfer printing. It is a new method of printing patterns on various materials, especially suitable for making a small amount of diverse personalized and customized goods, as well as printing patterns containing full-color images or photos. The process printing method is divided into two major parts: transfer lamination printing and transfer processing. The transfer lamination printing adopts dot printing (resolution up to 300dpi), and the pattern is pre-printed on the lamination surface. The printed pattern is rich in layers, bright in color, varied in variety, small in color difference, and good in reproducibility, which can achieve the effect required by the pattern designer, suitable for mass production.

Dice with a three-dimensional effect need to be customized with a special injection mold for the corresponding pattern, which will involve the cost of the mold. After the dice are injection molded, they will go through the oil spotting process to attach the engraved pattern with the corresponding ink color, and then go through grinding and polishing to produce the finished dice with a smooth surface. Usually, injection technology molding without engraving, the resin dice have one side that needs to be engraved.

Injection molding is not engraved, and one side of the resin dice needs to be engraved. It is not recommended to open the mold for the order quantity of small dice, and the cost will increase and be uneconomical. If the transparent dice have special effects, such as sequins or small toys, resin will be used; acrylic will be used in large quantities, with low cost and high cost performance. The line is concave in the plane called engraving, and the dice is engraved through the die, and the acrylic is directly reflected on the die. The resin is reflected through the mold, and the glued surface needs to be laser engraved on a laser engraving machine in addition to the engraving effect of all other sides of the glued surface. To enhance efficiency, our engraving will not be true engraving on each side of the dice. If you want to learn more about dice manufacturing, please click.
